About Color Concepts

Since 1985, Color Concepts has offered design services and been a Benjamin Moore Paint Dealer in Bangor, ME. Today, we're still doing the same thing we always have: helping people get their project right the first time. Our staff goes above and beyond sales pitches and handing out swatches. We offer high-quality products and give personalized hands-on guidance to customers. That means we provide personalized consultations, Benjamin Moore paints, Hunter Douglas window treatments, wallpaper from Brewster, Thibaut, and Patton, all under one roof.

Being an authorized Benjamin Moore dealer is something we take pride in. We carry the full line of architectural coatings and can special order industrial coatings and anything else you may need. We are trained on formulation, application, and troubleshooting in a way that general hardware stores simply aren't. We understand where most DIY projects go sideways, and it's one of the first things our team walks you through. Using paint with the wrong primer, or on walls that aren't prepped properly, means it won't look good no matter how gorgeous the color is. We spend quality time with customers, getting to know their projects so we can help them mitigate cost on wasted efforts and help them get things done right the first time.

We're also independent, which matters more than people realize. Nobody here is pushing a quota or steering you toward whatever's overstocked. As a Paint Store in Bangor, ME, our reputation is built one project at a time, and that's exactly how we prefer to operate. When you ask questions like: What holds up on a south-facing exterior through a Maine winter? Or, Which window shades will cool down the room and protect important interior furniture? You're getting quality answers from someone who's actually worked with the products in these scenarios, not just giving you scripted responses. That's the kind of detail our experts, here at Color Concepts, guide you on and the kind of service a big-box counter simply doesn't have time for.
